Can you replace the grips on a Sig 229 E2?

I would like to get a set of Hogue grips for my 229 E2. I have seen models with grips that where held on by screws.

I know you can go from regular grips to E2 grips and I have been told that you can go from E2 grips to regular grips but I haven't actually done it myself.

Yes, you can. It's the grips that changed, not the frame. You can go backward.
