Carb day? I thought they were all fuel injected now......

I haven't been in years. Kind of lost its sparkle during the whole IRL/CART think, and I just never got back into it.

For me it's hard to beat $10 for a day at the track and a free concert that's at least decent if not awesome.

The crazy drunks and sharing women are fun too :D

Though there's no carburetors, fuel injection is "carburetion". :-)

I too stopped going to the 500.
Haven't been to the race since 1996, but used to go every year.

I liked seeing all the different cars under a more open rule set.

Now it's nothing more than an IROC like spec race with everybody basically being forced to drive the same kind of car.
Lame, boring, NO real individual engineering INNOVATION allowed, and totally AGAINST what historically made the 500 a great race.

I used to love it, and now I wouldn't walk across the street to see the over regulated joke it's become...

Leased engines from Honda, Chassis from Dalara, and people that you only hear about once a year, if that.

Greatest spectacle in racing??? Not so much anymore.

The races at IRP (or whatever it's called now, Lucas Oil Raceway Park I think) are much better.
