Finally got around to trying the MP 452-200 mold with the penta points! Cast about 14 lbs. I used some nice clean 1:25 lead so they should expand nicely.

Are you planning on coating them or loading them as is? I’d like to see one of those after it’s shot into some clay or gel to see the expansion. They look great!

    I'll powder coat them.
Typically, I just cast with ww lead and the hp boolits generally fragment when they hit water/gel and the solids generally just pass on though without dumping a lot of energy.
We did do some testing on some 40 cal boolits and they expanded nicely.
Do in a month or two or three, I'll make a gel block and get all the test boolits/loads together and do some testing...
Then I'll end the day with a svarog slug:

Why use a harder alloy when your going to powder coat them?
