GSG 1911! They have been proven, a lot of satisfied customers!
Sig's problem is that its the exact same copy of the GSG-nicer grips, but a $100 mark-up. Besides the grips and the markings its the exact same.

GSG 1911 = Sig 1911. Same pistol, same assemply line.

I have over 20K rounds through one of our test GSGs. Never been cleaned (Gamez 235 can attest to that). Rock solid.

Actually, after getting a new mag. (no cost to me) mine is working
quite well. Worth the $249 I paid for it, BUT for not much more, the
GSG is a MUCH BETTER PISTOL.

In case you missed it, the GSG is a better choice. For $320 it has better quality and design going for it. Mine has been flawless and shoots whatever it's fed.

Glad this thread came up. I'll have enough saved by the end of the week for the 22 pistol I've been wanting. Ruger MK III, Buckmark, or 1911 style? I love shooting my Rock Island Tactical but can't afford more than 50 rounds a month. The GSG sounds like a good deal and since it is a 1911...

OK, so the GSG and the Sig 1911 22's are the same gun? Thinking I need to buy one soon....

I've found both locally with a $50 premium price for the Sig name. If everyone here agrees it's the same gun with no advantages, I'm thinking buy the GSG and use the extra cash to pick up a couple more magazines. Sound like a plan?

    GSG 1911

I have a GSG 1911-.22 and I love it! Several hundred rounds and never 1 hiccup! The only thing I recommend is clean out ALL the grease it is shipped with and oil lightly like you would any other 1911 and it is trouble free, leave in the grease and its a Jam-o-matic!
