Question: Will non-chlorinated aerosol brake-parts cleaner have any ill effects on Parkerization? I know it that it won't hurt bluing, and that you don't want to use it on "painted" aluminum frames, but what about Parkerized steel? (Such cleaning, of course, would be followed by a good lubrication with Rem Oil or CLP.)

I just use Hoppie No9 and Remiol to clean with. It will remove a lot of crud and won't hurt the finish. Soft brissle brush helps too.
