Competition Shooting Question

I would like to get involved with some type of competition shooting.. I enjoy all types of shooting, but long range is my passion.. Something about hit n a target 1000 plus is just awesome.. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated..

Ya I did see this post and am def gonna go.. I have never shot my new rifle past 500 yards so I better go to the range and practice a bit..
