I'm running 64bit Windows 7 on my laptop. I downloaded Ispell but it will not work. Do they make a version for Windows 7 because I have had no luck finding it.

dunno what you're trying to spellcheck, but I run firefox (built in spellcheck) and also openoffice has one built in. It's also a free version of MS office, so there's that too.

x2 on Open Office. I switched both of my laptops & HTPC over & haven't looked back. Cross compatible with Microsoft Office docs, too.

Used to use M$ Works on PC many years ago, got turned on to Open Office on my Linux boxen, haven't paid for that kind of stuff since.

I should have mentioned that it would be used for internet only. The gun forums and such.

Opera and Firefox do it naked. Why would you go to extra effort to have it with IE (the best browser for downloading a better browser)?

Like the others have said, download Firefox and start browsing with it. Spell check's built in and robust. You'll never go back to IE after using it.

I'm a fan of Google Chrome. I think it's faster than Firefox and it too has a built in spell checker.

I still use the Google search, but I'm kind of wary of using any of their other stuff, but I'm just paranoid.

WordWeb: English dictionary, thesaurus, and word finder software.

It does work. I use it on Win 64 bit. Does it give you an error message or anything? I've never had a problem with ieSpell.

It even corrected my misspelling of "iespel"

The only drawback to Chrome is that the latest security definitions that Microshaft put out a week or so ago show it as a virus and will uninstall it. LOL.

I just installed it on Win7 x64 and it seems to working fine for me.
