    Crack Shot HELP!!

    Ok looking for a replacement barrel for a Stevens "Crack Shot"... Have you guys ever found a source for these???

    I have also looked into just getting the barrel relined but can't find anyone local with the tools and knowledge to do it????

    Any help would be apriciated.

    I just rebuilt one for my cousin. look at the model 71, also look for "favorite"


    Thanks, Checked them out and they were listed as "Sold Out".......This is what I have been up against ever since I started this little mission. I know they used to have after market barrels for them but I can't find a source anymore.

    I am not sure they have replacement barrels, but I would call someone like Wisners or maybe look on gun-parts.com.

    There are a couple of those type of shops that either custom make parts/pieces for older guns or they simply buy broken/beat down for parts to resell.

    Well numrich.com had some listed with sights for $35.00 but they were sold out. I have a hard time spending a bunch of money getting a barrel made or getting it lined if it is going to cost me more than the gun worth!!

    It is hard for me to send $200.00 on a gun that is only worth $250.00 and actually make the gun worth less because it doesn't have the original barrel on it. I have found some barrel blanks for $85.00 but by the time you get them fitted and sights mounted I could see you hitting the $200.00 mark again..

    Oh well I will just keep looking.:dunno:
