Looks good from the photos, with the exception of the warning billboard on the lower side of the frame.

I really wish they would stop crapping up their guns with that nonsense.
My SP101 would look so much nicer without the stamped "warning".

I'm really looking forward to more offerings like this designed to compete with the Springfield R.O.

There is a lot of opportunity in the $650-$900 price range for a well-made, tightly-fitted, stripped-down combat/carry 1911. The R.O. is only the first 1911 to appeal to that market segment, and it's done quite well.

If Springfield would release an R.O. version in stainless and with low profile, combat sights, I think they would sell even more.

    1) I strongly dislike the lawyer attached to the underside of the frame, but at least there isn't a SR9C style loaded chamber indicator!

    2) An officer or commander's size would be cool.

That's a nice looking 1911. I don't particularly care for 1911s for carry or home defense, but if I ever decide to get one just for fun, I'll be taking a hard look at the Ruger. Nice to see a 100% US made 1911 from a major manufacturer, at a decent price point.
