Currently, other states honor the Indiana concealed carry permit, but on July 1st there will be no permit required in Indiana...wondering how that's going to work when crossing into other states? I travel to Ohio, Kentucky etc. and have a lifetime Indiana permit but without the Indiana permit requirement, am I screwed for carry out of state or will they still accept my Indiana permit.....anyone have any insight into this??

It is my understanding that states that agree to accept Indiana's gun permits will continue to do so. However, the new law is only good within the boundaries of the State of Indiana. For those who do not have a gun permit from Indiana may still apply to get one so that he or she may carry in states that accept our gun permit.

I hope that this answers your question or clears any confusion.

As stated the License is still available and will still be honored by the states that do so.

The other part of it depends on the laws of the state you're going to.
Kentucky has a version of permitless carry, Ohio will have their version soon also. So brush up on the laws of the state you're visiting.
