CVA Electra 50 Cal question

I recently bought a CVA Electra and was wondering if any of the members have one and what bullet grain you shoot and have the best luck with. I have been shooting the thomson 50 cal, 200 grain and they seem to be a tight fit.

The guy at gander told me that I could shoot as low as a .75 grain bullet. I am not sure if that would really fly with any knockdown power. I still have reservations on the jacket.
