Dagger delima

Hey to all
New here so help will be appreciated if I go astray.
Iv got a dagger Im going to post to sell but Im not having any luck finding out any history on it
It looks as tho ita been ground a bit to remove surface rust and has almost obliterated
the Manuf name and Origin. I can post pics for some expert advice if anyone would like to give it a go
Any help would be GR8 The name on the blade seems to read Leopold Verch

It looks like he was a prop designer in Hollywood in the early part of the 20th century. He made weapons, armor, etc.
