Daughter's 15-22 (duracoat content)

I know, I know I was supposed to be working on my AMD. But, but, but, I finally picked up a decent optic for my baby girl's (12) 15-22 that she has been pestering me to finish.

Sooooo add an AGF-2, Barska 3-9 (Thanks CQB), flip the fake gas block upside down for a future bi-pod, then add a little stinless duracoat for a base/electric lavender for a little snakeskin effect....

some of the lighting makes it look pink. It is decidedly PURPLE.

I felt this project was a little more urgent as it solves a couple of problems: She wanted purple as my wife suffers from systemic Lupus and it keeps her desire to keep shooting responsibly high! Oh, and it makes her happy which makes me happy.

HAHA, I kid. It's easy.

Basecoat any color you wish. When cured, cover with sniper veil or mesh or laundry bag, etc. Spray contrasting color. If I take my time, I can make it so realistic it's scary to touch.

Wow that looks AMAZING, well done !! I can relate just got done putting optics on my 15 year old Daughters Ruger 10-22 and as you said " If it makes her happy, it makes me happy" Once again great job and I love nothing more then range time with my Princess
