Decided to go out shooting yesterday...

A day late on this, but yesterday was a sunny day out, and with the warm weather I thought it was a good time to do some shooting! Went out with my g/f, and jDalton765 and fast forward 260 odd rounds later this is what happened.

Guns involved:

Beretta 92FS Inox
W. German Sig P226
FN Five Seven
Del Ton AR 15 with 1/9 twist barrel modded with various Magpul upgrades.

Girlfriend giving the 5.7 a go..she said it's her favorite..

Then the Sig...she said she prefers it over the Beretta...

Speaking of Beretta.....

and finally the AR!!!

By this point..she said she wanted to get an AR!!!!!!

Overall it was a very good day to get some shooting in, and after hearing my girlfriend say the following.."I want to get one of these.." "I want to help you clean them.." and finally " I want to get my LTCH." I'm thinking..."HELL YEAH!"

My gf was scared of guns till I put one of my pistols in her hand and let her give it a go. Now its something I hear about almost daily. So she's sent off for the LTCH and is still deciding what to carry. Nice 5.7 was just talking about getting one of those today.

Thanks for all who left input so far! and to the mods your welcome. I try to get pics as much as I can when I head out..but it's hard to focus on shooting pics when you are distracted by shooting guns!

p.s: The 5.7 isn't mine, a friend lent it to me to try out to see if I wanted to buy one.. but I am pretty sure I will have to find one given my girlfriend's reaction to the weapon.

My wife loves my 1911, my g19 not so much...but its growing on her as the recoiland weight doesn't effect her wrist. Thus, I am going to reload 9mm and then 45 occasionally.

Yeah my girlfriend had trouble hitting the targets with the 9's, after a couple more mags she got comfortable with both the Beretta and Sig..but the 5.7 she was tagging targets after her 2nd shot.

Bob at PSS has an FN P90 rifle and the FN pistol on consignment. He just got them today so you might check with him before they are gone. Where were you shooting?

I wouldn't be able to buy one anytime soon. I just bought a few guns this past month so I'll have to wait a while. We were shooting at my friend's brother's house.

My only suggestion is some eye protection for the young lady.

The boys and I found a 5.7 live round at the range once. I still have it just in case I ever buy a gun.

Range time is always fun. Did you just have to go out back?

Thanks, and yeah I do need to pick up a set of eye pro for her, I'll be sure to do that the next time we go out, the other day was just sort of a last minute type thing, and yeah we just went out behind the house. There is 10 acres of land with no other houses in sight.

Im glad to hear your GF is wanting a 5.7. Makes my wifes request for a comped 1911 seem a little less expensive.
