Kodiak Firing range is hosting a Level I defensive handgun class Friday November 11th from 6pm to 10pm and continues Saturday and Sunday the 12, and 13th from 8am to 5pm. This 20 hour defensive handgun course is a fast paced, demanding course covering safe and effective ownership, use and proper maintenance of a handgun.Through utilization of demonstration, lecture, range procedure and simulation drills the participant is taught safe handling of a handgun in close distance situations, either on the street or for home-defense. Both beginners and individuals with previous handgun training will benefit from this course by learning the ingredients to improve proper skill development. The participant will achieve a higher level of confidence and will learn necessary safety measures when carrying a handgun for protection in defensive situations.
Ø Good Attitude.
Ø 9mm or larger caliber handgun.
Ø Strong side, outside the pants hip holster with fully enclosed trigger guard for safety purposes.
Ø Sturdy pants belt.
Ø Ammunition carrier, speed loaders for revolvers or 3 magazines and 3 spares for semi-automatics.
Ø Appropriate clothing (ball cap, long pants, closed tow footwear, etc.).
Ø 600 + rounds of frangible ammo which may be purchased at Kodiak Firing Range.
There are three spots left in the class. This is the last class offered at the low price of $100 hurry up and get in on great training at a great price.
