Diamond solitaire engagement ring, platinum band:
Size 7.5
Information
Platinum band
Carat- .42ct.
Clarity- SI-1
Color- F
Cut- Ideal- Class 1A (see cut particulars on spec sheet. This was Hofmiesters "Hearts and arrows" cut, brilliant and really sparkles
Appraisal value- $3,000 (paid $2000 in 2001 dollars!)
price- $975 firm (premium trade value for Ruger LC9, or LCR in 38, or glock 26
It would cost about $2000 to realistically replace this ring today, maybe $1700 if you wanna take a chance ordering a diamond on line. In one of the pics you will see a small bow in the ring where it is normally sized . My wife has never noticed this and says it does not bother her.
Back Story
Purchased in April of 2001, proposal in May of 2001. We were married in February of 2002, and just celebrated our 11th anniversary. We are still happily married with two beautiful children.
In light of the current situation in our country, as well as the current financial situation in our family, we have decided that the wisest choice for us is to sell the ring, and be able to purchase a nice carry pistol to replace the one we had to sell last year.
We found a wonderful replacement for very cheap that compliments her wedding band, and we are both fully on board with this decision.
We hope that a new couple can use this as a symbol of their commitment and enjoy its beauty. It is an amazing ring and we area sure that any girl would love to receive it!
