Shot my DPMS 308 oracle for the 2nd time today. First was mostly to function check and today I wanted to see what this rifle could do.

This is one of the Cabela's $699 rifles. I have a 20'' POF 308 and wanted this one to be a light weight battle rifle.

I added Magpul stock and non free floated handgaurd.
    Vortex PST 1-4 mrad scope
    Ergo surgrip
    PW FSC-30 muzzle brake.

I also wanted to shoot ''cheaper'' ammo in this so I bought PRVI 168gr match for this rifle.

Total cost on this is now at $1,550

I was not expecting to be able to get sub moa from this rifle. Total round count to date is 80 rounds with no malfunctions of any kind. These groups were shot out of the back of my durango with a couple of blankets used for support.

I agree on the $700, It would have been nice that they make more mistakes more often on there pricing. From the group shots you got I think you not only got a great rifle but a even better deal. Hats off to you !!

Nice rifle. I'm happy for you on the deal and the accuracy. I'm totally jealous.

I appreciate the write up. I have been thinking about selling my commercial .308 Garand and getting a mag fed, this one sounds like a winner.

I just had my hand on the forend which my hand was on a pillow on top of a blanket while laying in the back of my durango. Some shooting was just the forend on the pillow

Since this shoots better than I expected it would,I decieded to put more magnafication on it and found a great deal on a NF 2.5-10X24 and put it in a ADM qd mount. I have not had a chance to shoot it since I put the NF on it.

Total cost now is $2,029 (pst now on my AR)

Edit: zeroed the NF and shot a sub-moa 5 shot group @ 100 yards with PRVI 168 match. Might have to try FGMM.
