Getting rid of tyrants can be messy and you can never rely on the government for protection. Fortunately, the Army is siding with the people and not the tyrant.

The Bolshevik Revolution started out as a "people's revolution"; look what happened to it. It was reported today that armed gangs broke several hundred "terrorists" out of prisons, as well as releasing "thousands" of other prisoners. Think "Muslim Brotherhood" for the first group and "Cuban Mariel Boatlift" for the second. I expect this "people's revolution" to go the same way as the Boshies' did.

Considering that there are, at best government estimates, only about 100,000 members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, (out of a population of about 85 Million), I'd have to say that they aren't a significant factor. One of their spokespersons has already authorised ElBaradei to speak for them, (and he's not a member). Even if they ran members in the elections they'd be a minor group, at best. They certainly aren't on a par with Hezbollah and Hamas and don't elicit any kind of fear in the region. They're much more politically oriented than action oriented. This is just another bogeyman for those that want a dictator to remain in power.

The last time the Muslim Brotherhood tried something on this scale, the city of Hama was razed to the ground along with everyone in it.

Let's hope that Cairo is still standing after all of this.

animals. just like the animals we have in south central LA.

killing your own innocent people to claim liberty or freedom will only leave a permanent black cloud over you.

i dont care what happens to all those people at their own hands. I think the U.S. will do good to stay out of it.

Couldn't agree more. Any revolution that begins with a shot, instead of a change in philosophy will always end poorly.

well bama knows he cant afford to meddle in egypt and also push his socialist agenda here too, so for once it might pan out :):

you take away welfare in this country and I think we would be a couple paychecks away from anarchy too. the govt has gotten people so dependent on them its ridiculous.
