Has anyone seen a Sig Sauer MPX in the wild (meaning for sale or in a regular citizens possession)? I talked to one of their reps at the NRA Convention and he said they were already shipping them out at that time and that they would be more available in the coming months. As of today, I have yet to see one for sale locally or online.

Held one at the NRA show as well, still waiting on the PSB one I ordered.

Heard Sig recently fired the person who controlled their rifles from a production stand point, apparently the guy was so bad he never could even return a phone call. So they're hoping to get the ball moving as quickly as they can.

I'll be patient, retail on them went down close to $200 so I'll just find comfort in that fact

As for the C model, last time I heard, ATF backed out out of that lawsuit

That could take forever, stick a regular barrel on them and push them out.

Testing showed the MPX didn't run well with long barrels

Edit, ATF didn't drop the suit like I thought

By agreement, approved by the U.S. District Court of New Hampshire, Sig will “stay” it’s lawsuit against the ATF until Sept. 17. In the meantime, both sides agree, Sig will send the ATF a sample of its muzzle brake for review and the ATF will issue a ruling, its third, by Aug. 6.

Hmm, we'll see if the ATF reconsiders. If so, maybe I will save up the $2k after all (plus whatever they charge for the suppressor sleeve + $200 stamp).

Of course, really, when I think about it, since I am SBRing my MP5, I can just stick my subgun can on that, and it's basically the same thing, right? Unless the muzzle break in baffle mode with the sleeve on can effectively suppress even supersonic 9mm, like supposedly the MP5SD can.

Though really, why doesn't Sig just start selling the MPX-C with the sleeve attached as a class III item, calling it the MPX-SSD anyway? People that were going to buy it for suppressing can save a step in the purchase and those that really just wanted the MPX-C as a carbine only can just buy the MPX-P with a Sig brace and get faux-SBR for the same price.
