EXCEL ARMS 22MAG CARBINE

I've been looking for a 22mag semi auto carbine and have researched
Remington 597, rare Ruger 10/22's at mind blowing used prices and
have recently come across Excel Arms MR-22 rifle. I've watched videos
and have read about these rifles on the manufactures web site but
has anyone out there shot one? Know of anyone who owns one?

Not really man. These things are so rare that hardly anyone has shot one.

I don't know anything about the MR-22, but something along those lines is the Kel-Tec Su-22. If you're thinking tactical, the M&P 15-22s and Sig522s are the nicest semiauto 22's in the market now, though not cheap at over $400-$600 depending on model.

Key phrase in the OP is 22 MAG...

Have you looked at the Remington 597 Mag, they have a good rep. I know you mentioned it in the OP but they really do feel good in hand and one club member swears by his.

Don't be hard on yourself, tomc, Kel-Tec is working on a semi auto 22 Mag.

I think the Remington 597 in 22MAG is really the only choice
right now, but Kel-Tec has got a cool one coming it's a
RMR30 carbine. Built on the pistol platform.

I have looked at the Excel Arms myself out of curiosity. I know just as much as you do though.

The Excel that interests me is the high cap 5.7X28...would make an okay truck gun.
