If this is for warranty work, there should be an RMA (return material authorization) and a prepaid shipping label.
Ruger has NO warranty. Ruger NO Warranty.jpg

This means they have complete discretion, on a case by case basis, as to the level of service they provide.

In most cases Ruger meets or exceeds customer expectations.

I worked in management at FedEx 25 years ago. "Absolutely positively on time" drove the company. Nobody was better. I still watch the sector. In my opinion today, UPS is far better at residential deliveries.

Both expressly will not allow it. And you are required by federal law to inform them you're shipping a firearm. There is currently no legal way to ship a pistol unless you are an FFL (or have an FFL set up the shipment for you.) This is what happens when the left-wing activists control (indirectly) all the big corporate boards; both UPS & FedEx changed their previously permissive policies in the past 2 years.

Don't forget you can have ups pick it up from your house as well. You just have to arrange it with then.
Of course it has to be ready to go, boxed properly, and return label on the box.
