Well yesterday I finally made the purchase I have been wanting to make for a few months now and I am not sure why this was not the first gun I purchased. I picked up a Springfield Loaded 1911. I even stopped by MCFG on my way home yesterday and put 50 rounds through it. What a great gun!!! I really enjoyed shooting it for the short time I was able to. I wanted to get a new Smith and Wesson E but I was tired of waiting. I now thing I am going to need to get another one and that can be the S&W. :draw:

Here is a picture. As I am posting this I cam getting the urge to go and shoot some more. I think I just might go get some more ammo and head out to the range.

Very nice, and very sorry to hear of your affliction. You'll never be the same.

Congratulations on a sexy new 1911.

I love 1911s, the more you shoot it the better it feels. I sold all my plastic guns to get another and haven't regretted it one bit.

    Congratulations

This is how it all begins. Before you know it you will not be able to eat or sleep until you have another 1911, then another and another and another ...... it never ends. AT LEAST I HOPE IT NEVER DOES. They sure are purdy, I have two Springfields and love em both.:ingo:

congrats on your Springer and welcome to the sickness. I recently had my Loaded target's sights replaced with fixed. I am really itching to get out and become reacquainted.

Amen to that brother. Today, I traded HK USP, Walther P22, Kimber tac ultra, Browning Buckmark, and BerettaThompson for a Wilson CQB 10mm. I got plenty of space in my safe for weapons that run perfectly now. The HK ran perfect, but it was plastic.

heavy heartedly, I have to say that I too am about to purchase my first 1911 from my father who is experiencing some bad times monetarily. It's a perfect condition commander's series SS 1911. I've offered a great price numerous times, but unfortunately, I fear that I may need to purchase it to keep him afloat.
    Congrats on the pickup.

Couldn't agree more. I've had my Kimber Compact for about 10 years. A couple years back I picked it up out of the safe to go to the range and have since purchased 2 more Kimbers and a Springfield Operator. Totally addicted. I'm looking to sell my PPS fairly soon to pick up a Springfield GI. I just can't play the plastic gun game anymore.

I have been wanting a 1911 for awhile now. They seem like they would be awesome to shoot. Is there that much of a shooting difference between one and say, my XD Service?

I have a MP9 and I think that this 1911 is a night and day difference!!!! I may get rid of the 9mm so that I can get another 1911 or maybe customize this one a bit.
