Fired My polytech AK today.

My only black/brown rifle.

I went to dads with a mag of 30 and fired off about half of them. I like the feel and all. It is going to be a good long gun for SHTF for me. I was not shooting for accuracy just popping off a few rounds. I did mess with the yardage on the rear sight and like that it seems to function very well.

My main question is "WHERE in The HELL do the spent cases end up?" it is like they dissapeared. I did not find a single one and i moved over to the patio after a couple and still did not have them hit the bricks. I also could not tell where they went when dad finished off the mag.

They were just old surplus rounds but still I do not like to leave brass in the grass even if it is surplus.

Wow that's a nice rifle, top of the line AK for SHTF?

Also, those shell do eject pretty far, my Maadi throws them farther and higher than my Polish.

It is a stamped poly not a milled poly but none the less it is a nice little ak. I guess a AKS-762 to be a little more accurate.

My stamped Romanian will chuck casings 15+ feet away, it was the first thing I noticed about it actually.

If you were near the house, did you check the roof and gutters???? I have one AKM that throws the shells up and over my shoulder.

Yes I did check on the roof and did not hear them roll into the gutters. It must throw steel/brass luke John Daily hits golf balls.
