Flying with Suppressors from Chicago

I am flying out to Washington State next month. I live in NW Indiana and will be flying out of Chicago. Does anyone know if I will have any trouble taking my suppressor with me? I know it's legal in Washington, but I don't know if I'd run into trouble at the airport?

It's fine to fly with them, just declare them and have your forms.

I talked to Kel about it when he was here, he does it every week.

I don't know about the IL aspect though, I would call IL state police.

Thanks! I knew it was legal to fly with them. I'm worried about the Illinois side of things. I sent an email to ISP and will report back what I hear from them.

Can't fly out of Indy?

As Illinois does not allow ownership of such things I am not sure I would want to take the chance. The odds of a Chicago cop confiscating them then making you go to court to get them back is more of a risk than I would be willing to take. I would fly out of Indy even if it meant having to take a connecting flight.

Suppressor

Years ago when we were having a SMG class in Winamac JF had his SMG's
taken from him at Chicago. I brought mine down for the class. Hope it changed.
