Ford 8N tractor repair help

Anyone know of a resonable 8N mechanic in the Henry / Delaware county area?

I can't remember names or web sites but look up 8N V8 conversions. There will be one person IN OH and the other in IN. The one in IN might be close to you.

What are the issues? 2N, 8N, and 9Ns are all pretty easy and simplified.

Wont start, no spark, have replaced the "distributor" and all spark plugs and wires....

Is the distributor gear driven on the 8N like they r the 9N? Pull the cap off and rotate the engine to make sure the distributor rotor/shaft spin. Check for voltage at the input side of coil and output side.

Whats your tool situation like? Voltmeter?

Where is the distributor? Front of engine or right side of engine?
6V or 12V?
