Years ago when my Dad was on the Sheriff's Dept there was an elderly couple who found $30,000 in a gallin sized ziplock bag under a bush in their front yard. They called and my Dad took the report. The money went to the property room for 90 days IIRC and no one came looking for it. My Dad got the call to take it back to the couple and when he did they tried to give him some of the money but he turned it down. I always thought that was a pretty cool story.
