i want to change out my barrels on my G19 and put my G32 barrel in it. the reason is that i have the new texture on my G19 and i carry the 357 sig and it is the older version. is this going to be a problem?? Thanks Eddie
The 9 barrel can be ran in 40/357 SIG guns but not vis versa. It reason it probably wont due to the G19 having a smaller area breech area for the 9mm then the 40/357 SIG size guns.
The stock 9mm barrel cannot be run in the 357/40 guns. You need a dedicated aftermarket conversion barrel. This is due to the size of the hole for the barrel in the end of the slide. Also, you can't run 357/40 in a 9mm gun, due to the breech area and hole in the slide. The barrels just won't fit.
Both above posts are dead on. If you really want to do that, Wolfe makes some decent barrels, I picked one up for my G21 so I could shoot lead reloads out of it...
" want to change out my barrels on my G19 and put my G32 barrel in it"
Well, as previously stated, the barrel hole in the G19 is too small for the .40 or .357 bbl and the OD of the G19bbl is too small for your G32.
If your G19 is a GEN 1,2,3 (NOT A GEN 4) and you like the G19 frame's texture you could put the G32 slide, bbl, recoil spring and use G32 mags.
I think that'll give you what you want.
Function fire it before using it for defensive purposes.
You MIGHT have to swap out the ejectors too, but I would imagine the '19s ejector will kick the .357 sigs out w/o a problem.
Now I don't know everything, sometimes I don't think I know anything...but I don't believe Lone Wolf or anybody else makes a
LARGER caliber bbl for the G19...
The Hole in the slide doesn't leave much of a safety factor; I know it's just a silly millimeter...Might be wrong, but I'm thinking it'd be gettin' thin?
