    I do not own one but it is reported that the lock will fail unless the blade is flipped out hard/with force. The blade is supposed to be 440a stainless which is low grade steel for a heavy use knife. But for $30 it is what it is.

    I have one lock failed and retaining screws and thumb stud came loose. Sent it back to Gerber, they sent a replacement and I fixed the liner lock with my dremel. This is my EDC work knife and it is what it is.

    That's how I've been opening it. I'd really like to find a good knife. I'd like to carry my BUCK Fixed Blade, but don't know what the Knife Laws are.....:dunno:

    Nothing in the state laws about fixed blade carry, but you might have some in your city/town codes.

    If your close to Indy I would recommend seeing Brad of Brads knives this weekend at the Indy 1500, he will have a very nice selection of folders to fondle.:yesway:

    I live in N W Indiana. Is there any good knife dealers around Valpo Or Lafayette????
