I'm going to get a new bolt for the SHTF AR-15. This was NOT a budget build by any means. It got all top quality parts aside for the RRA bolt. The gun has a Noveske upper & lower but a Colt M4 barrel. I'm a bit torn on going with a cheaper Bravo Co. or LMT bcg or just dropping the extra ~$50 on a real Colt BCG.

Somewhere down the road I might put a real Noveske matched bolt and barrel on this thing & sell the Colt M4. Having a matching (manufacturer) Colt bolt might be a good thing for resale value.

The chrome RRA BCG would move into a backup bolt role or get sold. Not sure yet.

    Thoughts?

I had a BCM bolt as an extra for my Colt in the event I needed to swap it out ever.

While I've not ever had a problem with a bolt, even a cheap "Mil-spec" one, this is not a hobby gun. I want a 100% verified, not batch tested, shot peened, MPI and proofed BCG.

We're only talking ~$140 vs. the average $100 price of a Mil-spec. But the Colt @ ~$190 slowed down my add-to cart mouse clicking.

So lets see U.S. military supplies weapons, French Foreign legion supplies them, Must be some U.S. super secret squirrel 3 letter agency that wants to be soooo secret you have to supply your own weapon so it can't be traced to them.
Just messin with you... I can understand wanting the best but if its milspec it has to meet the same Gov. standards as a Colt. Just because it says Colt on it doesn't necessary make it better
