F all the Left wing naysayers.

Kellee Terrell, a screenwriter who has collaborated with Blumhouse and Amazon Studios, claimed that Elba’s comments were made with selfish intent.

“There’s an innocuous way that Black folks in Hollywood like Idris, Terry Crews, etc—play the “good colorblind negro” to have individual success.” Terrell tweeted, “Meanwhile,Black folks like Gina, Gabrielle, John Boyega, etc, reject that ******** to ensure COMMUNAL SUCCESS.”

This person is 100% wrong. Community should be the country you live in, not an individual race. Falling into tribal communities within a larger nation begets the kind of strife we constantly have. Instead, your allegiance should be to your nation and we are all stronger together.

Race seems to be injected into every discussion no matter how trivial and I agree that skin is just that, skin. It's just ANOTHER way for the powers that be to separate us. We are all in this together and the sooner we realize it and focus on what benefits and hurts us all, the better off we will be. :ranton:

What always irritates me is the whole "Uncle Tom" label. You can't be a successful black person in America, without being a sellout to "The Man" unless you're a gangster, rapper or "community activist"...

We all bleed red. It's just that simple.

Everything else is about ideology and behavior. If you are going to live here in the USA, the nation has a reasonable expectation that you know and agree to the ideology documented in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

If you do not agree to the principals of the Constitution, and in fact work against it, there is a word for that behavior and it should be applied and corrective action taken.

I am still astounded that a Nation which made such great strides toward a color blind society from the 1870's to the 1980's, has had so much work unwound by our enemies and their willing domestic allies.

(OK, I'll take my rose colored glasses now)
