After this years turkey season, I have decided that I would like to look at getting a semi auto 12 gauge, 3 1/2 mag with a camo finish. I would really like the Super X3. My father in law has one and he loves it....says it has no recoil at all. I have always been a Remington man so I want to look closely at the 1187 and the new Versa Max. I am really stuck to looking at these two brands. Any comments on any of the guns? Thanks in advance all!

I have had a 1187 12 gauge for 20 years, great shotgun, I have never had a problem with it. Functions with any load I put through it, from light field loads to the heaviest 3 inch magnums, never misses a beat. You would not be disappointed with one.

Admittedly, mine fails to extract on fired Winchester Super X 3 inch slugs, but I think that's because the hull is too long when fired. All the other shot and slugs I've tried have worked flawlessly.
