Greetings all! My wife and I had our first child last month, and I just picked up a little SA Heritage revolver for him as his first gun (thought it would be cool to have one as old as he is, never fired, for when he is mature enough to shoot with me). I'd like to customize it a little by putting his name on the grips. Does anyone know somewhere or someone near Lafayette that can do that for me?

Have you tried a custom woodworker?

I would recommend Geoff Anderson at Deckards on Old Romney Road. He does amazing work. If he cannot do it, he may know of someone who can.

I do my own. I'm a wood worker. Have been for a while but I don't go anyone else's. It is easy to do with a little practice and if you are going to do more than one it is well worth learning how yourself. Not only will you get exactly what is in you head on the grip but all it costs is time once the tools are in hand. I find wood working relaxing while I find gunsmithing frustrating and relaxing.
