    Well, in terms of pressure, it should be able to handle .38 special. The question is about bullet diameter, since a .38 bullet is .357 inches and a 9mm is .355 inches.

    I would be. If they only have 1 thou of clearnace, you've got issues. Go measure 100 bullets and see what the data set averages and what 2 or 3 standard deviations are. guarantee you see some in that range. Most mfg clearance .020-.030"

    Thats what I was thinking the bullets are for the most part the same size.
