    I spent part of the afternoon working on a little mod for my gun cabinet.

    I often had to get things in and out of the gun cabinet at night while my wife is sleeping, so I either had to turn on the light or use a flashlight. I also could not see in there if I heard a noise without turning on a light, which could alert an intruder or his look out. I solved both problems today...

    I took a spare 12v 500ma radio AC adapter, panel mount plug, wire, a On-Off-On switch from RadioShack, and some self adhesive LED strips from AutoZone and modded my cabinet.

    I used two 12" white LED strips for regular lighting, and two 4" red LED strips for night vision saving light in case of bumps in the night.

    I think it turned out great...
