Being retired gives me a lot of time to talk to people.
    And I do....
People from all walks of life.
Damn near everyone I know is fed up with the Liberal agenda of the "Bathhouse Barry" crowd and are willing to make a stand for their freedoms while we still have some of them.
The Liberals know that something is in the wind and are desperate to stifle it in any way they can.
Gun control is their preferred method of subjugation but I believe that they will stoop to any means to achieve their goals before the next Presidential election.
Eternal vigilance is our primary weapon to stop them.

That is good to hear. I travel all over the MidWest and Northeast and talk to a lot of people. It's what I do for a living.

But, I'm in a lot of cities. Chicago, New York, Philly, Boston, etc...pretty much all of the socialist mecca's on this side of the country. It's definitely a different feel from the more rural customers which, consequently, are really the only ones I look forward to seeing lately.

It always feels good getting back home.

I look at the big city people as the "Take care of me" crowd.
You won't find as many welfare types in the rural settings.
Studying the history of the American Revolution one discovers that virtually all of the British sympathizers ,(Tories), lived in the cities.
The Revolution was sparked and fought by the rural folks who were much more self sufficient and didn't want to be dictated to by the Crown who was totally out of touch with the realities of life.
Just like Obama and his city dwelling Liberal Administration.

I'm not trying to spin anything. I just get sick of hearing how much anyone who doesn't like the GOP loves the dems.

Try saying you like the GOP and the Libertarians (who I agree with in principle about 90% of the time, at least I did before they got hijacked by the LGBT lobby) will say you hate America and the Constitution.

The more unpopular the GOP gets the more I love them...There is something very American (the underdog thing) about belonging to a group so loathed by folks in NYC and LA (not "Lower Alabama" but the goofy one out west), Pop Stars, Movie Stars, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, PBS, HBO, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, most magazines, all of the North East, (I will miss you New Hampshire) and Chicago.

Butters has a webgasm at least once a week posting his latest link about how the GOP is dying unless they come to his way of thinking. I am satisfied with the GOP being a thorn in the side of pompous elitist limousine liberals.

The death of a political animal I was most saddened to see was "The Blue Dog Democrat". Six years ago there was at least thirty and I believe they are all gone now. Democrats controllled Congress for fifty years before 1994 and the GOP survived. The GOP survived a Civil War when the Democrats seceded following the election of the first GOP President and we will survive this as well.

IMHO lest I offend or even think I am right...Remember...It's just one man's opinion and observations.

As a self described country boy of Scot's Irish with a smattering of Injun ancestry I would so love to say "You are right about that Brother" but unfortunatley you are not.

Fifty years ago I would say yes but trust me when I say the welfare mentality is as much rural as urban now...I love my Kentucky and rural Southern Indiana roots but I would be lying to myself if I said that "give me" mentality was only urban rooted. The numbers don't lie and statistically speaking they are about the same between urban/rural.

    IMO
The "gimme gimme" mentality is slowly infesting even the rural areas as you say, but I still maintain that rural people, as a whole, hold to a more self sufficient life style.
I still have relatives living on farms and the very thought of taking welfare or similar Government aid is repulsive to them.
They raise domestic animals, hunt deer, maintain chicken broods and in general could survive quite well if the rest of the country went straight to Hell.
They can also defend themselves..... ;)
