Rep. Welch's bill to close access to the handgun permit database has passed unanimously out of committee today. More information here. Contact your state legislators and ask them to support this bill to limit access to our private data!

If you don't want to go in to work until 9am, get a job where you can do that. If you want daylight for the end of the 9th inning at your son's little-league game, have them start an hour earlier.

well the media can't really pressure anyone to put amendments in the bill because their whole stance was that it was just some neat info on demographics and more of a curiosity so there would be no reason to take the database down. so trying to argue they should be able to keep it up for whatever reason would be idiotic and I would hope some rep. would call them on it.
