1st chirps heard yesterday. Usually means major cooldown in 4-6 weeks.

I love sitting on the porch listening to them.

They just now started where I am.

Like on que. One starts up, then another then another.

Totally quiet until a few minutes ago.

They are definitely active in west central counties

Heard my first one a little over a week ago in Greenwood.

I've been hearing them there by the airport since July 5th, figure the fireworks over the weekend must've woke them up early

Haven't heard the first one yet... but I've been hibernating in the AC for the most part. wife & I was tooling around in the golf cart yesterday evening in the golf cart with the "other woman" (my German Shepherd service dog) and... nada.
