Before you spend your money, shoot as many firearms that friends will let you try as possible.

In addition, look up indoor shooting ranges that let you rent a firearm to try out. Whatever that costs, it will be cheaper than the loss of trying to resell something you bought and did not like.

Paying a little more for what you really want is cheaper in the long run.

I went to one range but they will not rent to first time visitors shooting alone. Hoping to get a friend to tag along soon. He has been there many times and also owns many hand guns.
