    Those two items are part of the Schwartz safety system used on these pistols. Might be easiest to look at an exploded Kimber diagram, as they use this system as well, instead of the Colt Series 80 firing pin safety system. It's a lot easier to see it on the diagram than to type it, but I'm sure when you look at the picture you'll see how it goes together.

    An update...

    I found a video on Youtube that isn't the best quality but does show how these two additional parts are installed into the GSG. Really not difficult at all once you see how they fit and where they go.

    When I wanted to change out my bobbed hammer in my HK USP to a spurred hammer the youtube 6 part videos of a guy doing a complete diss-assembly and reassembly saved my rear. I could pause-rewind-play until I got it right.

    i had the same issue when i tore mine down, just followed 1911 directions/illustrations to reassemble. now lets see that picture.
