home defense gun

Needing a home defense gun for my family. Not really picky on what it is, just something reliable and easy to teach the Gf lol. Price range is 300-400 so keep that in mind. Thanks a lot.

Remington 870 12 ga. If its too much for your gf then get a 20 ga. Use buckshot.

The reason is that you don't have to aim as much. If you hear a bump in the night you will probably be shaking too much to aim a pistol if you have no training. You can get a good pump action shotgun for about as much as a crappy pistol.
