    i know they make a round that they say is mad for inside home defense. Its supposed to be low velocity so if u miss it doesnt just go straigh through n keep goin. anybody know who makes these and what tehre called??? thanks everyone.

    yes it is teh guard dog ammo. thank u sir. ithought they made it in .380 also but thats ok. i still got 9mm. thanks

    Maybe federal guard dog, it's a expanding fmj. They make it in 9mm, 40 , 45

    The EFMJ wasnt made as a low penetration alternative. Its primary selling point was for jurisdictions where hollow points are not legal, or in pistols that do not feed a conventional hollow point bullet profile.
    The only self defense rounds that come to mind as a low penetration design is the Glaser Safety Slug. I am sure that there are others, but this is the one that has been around for quite a while.
