Personally, I know a couple LEO's and would just ask them to run it if I didn't know the seller or there was even the slightest doubt in my mind, but by ignoring it...I may end up missing a good deal.`

not sure if this is te right spot but is there any way to find out if a firearm is hot (stolen) without goin through a LEO.. a guy i no wants to sell a hand gun and a rifle and i was wantin to no if there legit. said he bought them off a friend
