Coons like about any food. I had to trap a female that got into one of our buildings. I did a bit of research on trapping them and a long time nuisance coon trapper recommended marshmallows. They look like eggs and are nice and sweet.

Once I caught the momma I found her babies and moved them all to a more suitable location.

Years ago we grew a lot of Sweet Corn to sell (4-5) acres. When coons started to get in it we put a strong electric fence wire around it close to the ground. Worked pretty good.

GREAT IDEA. Go Coon Huntin'! :-)

(I did this all the time with my Grandpa as a kid...)

In all seriousness... A key asset to Coon hunting was having...

    Coon dogs.

Solution? Get you a couple coon dogs and a dog house in the middle of or around the garden.
100% guaranteed, Coons wont **** with their favorite veggies anymore...

Something has been getting into my wife's hummingbird feeders and she's been bowing my lab pup. I guess she saw 4 coons messing with one of them last night. I guess she's going to need to get taller shepherds hooks for them.
