Hunting near schools?

I live about a mile from a local public middle and high school. There is lots of amazing farm land across the road from the school for turkey season I was going to ask the owners permission to hunt on this spring. It is privately owned land and is not school owned.

Are there any laws stopping me from hunting near a school?

maybe local ordinances that regulate disharging a firearm x feet from a building, but no, nothing specific against hunting.

Where would be the best place to find info on local ordinances?

I'd try the local town Constable or County Sheriff, whoever enforces with local jurisdiction.
