I pulled up to the clubhouse today up at Young's Longshot Range and as I parked, there were 7 wild turkeys sitting on the end of the rifle benches and on the pistol stations. These are this year's birds and I have watched them grow up and roam around the range since they were chicks. I got out of the truck and walked towards the clubhouse and the birds jumped off the shooting stations and wandered out to the drop-down pistol targets. All the targets were down, but 4 of the turkeys flew up and landed on the target stand. There I was, staring at live turkey targets about 50 feet away and no camera. My cell phone was out in the truck and they took off before I could get the phone.

I know, "This Thread Is Worthless Without Pictures" and I regret not being ready to record the scene. Take your camera along and have it ready for moments like this.
