Everyone will be leaving WISH soon. They lost their CBS affiliation effective Jan. 1. There will likely be massive layoffs.

They lost their CBS affiliation effective Jan. 1.

I just checked with my local cable service provider, and was told CBS will be moving to Channel 4 on January 1, 2015.

Also, I mentioned to them that it would be nice to get Channel 10 in Terre Haute on our cable system (Smithville Telephone).

Wish will continue to have news casts on/after 1/1/2015. This is old news - though I am sure it has something to do with why she chose to leave.

Oh they'll still have newscasts, just no one to watch them. Without the CBS prime time shows ad revenue will dry up and they will have to slash their budget.

Plus most news people are always looking for the bigger market. Why stick around and stay on a station with no resources and no one watching?

The affiliation being yanked had to do with the affiliate not sending enough revenue upstream to the mothership.

Local affiliate played hardball and Mothership stripped the affiliation. Both as "punishment" for stepping out of line and as a warning to other affiliates.
