Without intent, worst case scenario, possibly Second Degree manslaughter?

If I was a judge, she will be admitted to a mental institute.

No jail time. Jails are crowded as they are.

It seems that the prosecutor on case is determined to incarserate her.

Well 'its' legal in this country, she just chose another path. What is the big deal?
She tried to kill herself and had a legal abortion by accident. No purple in mine...what is the big deal?

Do not get me wrong. I am against abortion, but seriously if she had gotten an abortion and then poisened herself it would be OK:xmad:
    Let her go.

Sounds to me like she's either extremely stupid or crazy--and a halfway decent lawyer could certainly go for crazy and probably get it. So why try to prosecute her at all?? This sounds like a no-win situation for the state if the prosecutor pursues it.

I'm with the "The end result is the same result as a legal abortion" crowd. :dunno:

It's sad, but I don't really see a serious charge able to come out of it. What is the punishment for attempted suicide?

Yep, she should be bound, tagged, and sent to the State Hospital in Logansport. She has some gears loose upstairs and needs some help.

The prosecutor, if (s)he follows through with criminal charges, should be incarcerated for the unneeded waste of public funds.
