Ingo home DIY'ers... Have you ever installed an A/C 'soft start' kit on your outdoor unit?

If so, what are your thoughts? Is it worth the $150-$300+? It appears to be worth it to limit the inrush current hopefully extending the life of the outdoor unit.

All the units I have replaced, never seen one on.

Hard start kits, yes.
For the high end of the price point you listed I can just about replace my unit and just have new. Ok in bidenomics I would be about half way there.

Yep, I have. Very easy to install and worth it as it'll let them start up with no issues on generator power.
