Shot my best buck last year with my father's Winchester 94. My cast bullets. I was impressed. My son used his .270 to take his first buck that evening. Still need to tuck the brass in next to his headstone.I had excellent performance with my Marlin 336 in 30 30. Rem 150 gr Corelock. Also bagged a nice 180 pound hog in Texas with the same load and gun
I had 23 acres with steep ravenez and a 70 yard **** was long. That deer I shot at about 35 yards. The 13 years I lived there I shot abou 10 deer and none of them over 50 yards.I think that might be the perfect gun/round for Indiana deer. And nice buck!
You'll be doing a lot of clattering and clanking with that many rifles in your stand...I'm going to let my stand pick my rifle I think. My .270 for the back field and long shots, .38-55 lever for the stands in gullies and woods. Or my .30-30 or my .45-70. or...... Oh heck I don't know.
This will be my 2nd season with my 450 bushmaster on an AR platform, hoping to actually see a deer this year.

Kill 'em, kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out.My 6.5 creedmoor. 2nd year with this barrel hasn't been blooded yet gonna be sitting it on the tripod in the blind and just relaxing. It'll flat shoot so if something comes out it's going down we're running low on meat
