UHC by policy denies every single one of our level 5 charts we submit for billing. Every. single. one. Then we have to write a letter for why we believe it should be a level 5 chart and do the appeal process. Most get paid then. But by default they deny them, no matter what we did for the patient. Should be illegal. Not mad at you, just UHC

I hear ya. Managed care makes sense in some regards, this is not one of them. Pissed me off on many occasion when working as a social worker. Now I'm on a small team working in geriatrics supported by Optum and have much better patient care than most experience with managed care insurances. /thread jack
